Caboolture Hospital in Brisbane's north has had a major expansion and redevelopment to build a bigger and better hospital and car park with more health services and car parking for the community.

The $395 million project delivered a new five storey Clinical Services Building, 130 new beds, refurbished spaces in the existing hospital, expanded health services and a new Multi-Storey Car park. The Caboolture Hospital redevelopment included the construction of new facilities and refurbishment of spaces within the existing hospital, covering a floor area of 32,000sqm.

GVK Group was appointed by Lendlease to deliver the reinforcement fix as well as the design, supply and install of the post tensioning for both the clinical services building as well as the 6 level car park development. This project had structural requirements which called for temporary movement joints during the construction phase. GVK manufactured, supplied and installed large quantity’s of these TMJ joints which were later grout injected.

GVK Group worked closely with all parties involved to create an efficient  structure. Working across multiple work faces on both the clinical services building and the car park. GVK Group’s team of experienced site personnel worked to deliver all elements in a safe and efficient manner.

This exciting project allows Caboolture Hospital to continue to meet the health needs of the local community as the population grows over the coming years.
