The Logan Hospital Expansion is one of the state’s largest ever hospital expansions.
GVK Group is providing both the reinforcement fix as well as the post tension slab design, supply and install. This project also had the requirement for new penetration’s to be cut through the existing L5 structure which called for strengthening works using carbon fibre laminate. GVK provided the supply and install of the carbon fibre laminate as well as pull off testing and reporting with close to 1000m installed to manufactures specifications.
This expansion is a significant transformation for Logan Hospital, delivering a 48 per cent increase on the existing bed capacity, dramatically increasing the size of the hospital to meet the growing needs of the community.
