The Cairns Convention Centre has undergone a significant expansion and refurbishment.
The expansion has delivered an additional 10,500 square meters that now includes a large undercover, tropically planted drop-off and entry forecourt, an expanded main entry lobby, a 410-seat plenary lecture space, three 120-seat meeting rooms, exhibition space for up to 30 display booths, a 500-seat rooftop banquet space and sky terrace with spectacular views over Trinity Inlet.
GVK Group worked closely with our engineers to provide the post tension design, supply and install as well as reinforcement fix. GVK Group worked closely with Lend Lease and all other parties involved to deliver the smartest and most efficient solutions for this iconic project which we are incredibly proud to have be involved with.
